Jerry and the Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver
Jerry bested me two weeks ago when he showed up at the club with the Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver. Taylormade has always had spectacular clubs that deliver so well that the professionals use them, and that should have been a big hint as to how good this driver is. I hadn’t had a chance to see Jerry’s Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver, but after that day, I got one myself because of that game.
Since Jerry had never beaten me at golf in the four years we had played, I didn’t see how the Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver was going to make any difference. On the first two holes, we were even at one over par, but Jerry kept putting his ball straight down the fairway and was getting a little more distance off the tee than I was. I began to watch his swing a little closer as we got to the back nine, mainly because I was trailing.
It was like a different man I was playing as Jerry repeatedly made good drives and could reach the green better than he ever had. The Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver seemed like magic when Jerry made a drive, and I think my mouth stayed open at every tee that day. On the eighteenth hole, I was down by four strokes, and Jerry was grinning like a Cheshire cat. He did take pity on me and asked if I’d like to try his driver for the last drive.
I had to accept even though my pride was hurt. When I first laid hold of the Taylormade Superquad R7 Driver, I was impressed with the weight distribution and over all feel. When I drove that ball, I knew I had been had, and made sure not to play Jerry another time without getting my own.
